The Jagiellonian University in Kraków welcomes applications for a postdoctoral position ("adiunkt") in the project "Deep uncertainties in bioethics: genetic research, preventive medicine, reproductive decisions" (BIOUNCERTAINTY), funded by the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant No. 805498. The Principal Investigator of this project is Dr. Tomasz Żuradzki (Philosophy, Jagiellonian University).

Prof. Włodzimierz Galewicz was elected a correspondent member of PAN (National Academy of Sciences). The new members were elected by the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences on December 5th during the 140th session in Warsaw.

The Department of Professional Ethics at the Institute of Philosophy UJ, in collaboration with Interdisciplinary Center for Ethics UJ and the Polish Bioethics Society, are organizing a conference entitled “Protection of data in scientific research”. The aim of the conference is to discuss the complex problems of the right to privacy and the right for personal data protection faced by researchers in different disciplines of science.
