Piotr Bystranowski works at the intersection of the experimental philosophy of law and morality, judicial decision‑making, and the application of natural language processing (NLP) methods to legal and philosophical research. He is the principal investigator (PI) of the NCN OPUS–funded project Ignorance of Law: A Study in Experimental Jurisprudence. He holds a doctorate in law, undergraduate training in both law and philosophy, and a European Master in Law and Economics. He has held visiting appointments at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; the Surrey Centre for Law and Philosophy, University of Surrey; and Georgetown University, where he was a Fulbright Senior Scholar
