Konferencja "Yale-Oxford-Jagiellonian BioXPhi Summit" – 27-30 czerwca 2023

Konferencja organizowana przez Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics, Oxford Uehiro Center for Practical Ethics i Interdyscyplinarne Centrum Etyki UJ będzie dotyczyła eksperymentalnej bioetyki filozoficznej ("bioxphi").

 

 

 

 

 

Wykłady na zaproszenie wygłosili Joshua Knobe (Yale) i Joanna Demaree-Cotton (Oxford). Konferencja była współorganizowana przez Interdyscyplinarne Centrum Etyki UJ (kierowane przez Tomasza Żuradzkiego), Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics (kierowane przez Stephena Lathama) oraz Oxford Uehiro Center for Practical Ethics (kierowane przez Juliana Savulescu i Rogera Crispa). 

Eksperymentalna bioetyka filozoficzna („bioxphi”) wykorzystująca narzędzia kognitywistyki, psychologii moralności i filozofii eksperymentalnej do badania tematów, które tradycyjnie stanowią przedmiot zainteresowania bioetyków. Jej zastosowanie ma na celu wniesienie wkładu w istotne debaty normatywne na gruncie etyki medycznej i dziedzinach jej pokrewnych.
