Abstrakt

Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are being integrated into more and more areas of our lives and research. This is a cause for philosophical concern insofar as such systems can reinforce gender bias and stereotypes in many ways. In my talk, I will explore how this is linked to epistemic injustice in general, discuss AI-produced forms of epistemic injustice that have emerged so far and show how they specifically contribute to testimonial and hermeneutical injustice against women.
